Five-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave opened the Molesey Community Rowing Centre  on 3rd April.  Joining Sir Steve were Annamarie Phelps, Chairman of British Rowing, Molesey Boat Club Captain Moe Sbihi, Councillor Jan Fuller the Mayor of Elmbridge, Elmbridge Councillor John O’Reilly, along with 250 Molesey Boat Club supporters and representatives from numerous boats clubs and organizations around the area.

Over 250 supporters attended the Molesey Community Rowing Centre Grand Opening 3 April, 2016.
The Molesey Community Rowing Centre was Opened by Sir Steve Redgrave along with the Mayor of Elmbridge and MBC Members Bill Raspin, Captain Moe Sbihi and Ian Knight, (left).  Three generations of Olympians demonstrate the new rowing tanks: Dickie Knight, (1960 Olympics) Sir Steve Redgrave, (1984-2000 Olympics) and Mo Sbihi, (2012 Olympics and 2016 Rio Gold Medallist), (right).
